SNJ-3 Texan Navy 1/32
Scale: 1/32 | Wingspan: 10.75 inches | Length: 15.75 inches
The SNJ-3 (known as the T-6 in Air Force service) dates back to a design for a Basic Combat Aircraft that first flew in 1937, with 180 versions of the BC-1 being ordered by the Army Air Corps. The advanced trainer version included the AT-6A, equipped with a Pratt & Whitney R-1430 Wasp radial of 550 horsepower. In the 1950s, the AT-6G variant was created from rebuilt AT-6As, with an improved cockpit layout, increased fuel capacity, modified landing gear with a steerable tailwheel, updated radios, and a more powerful engine.
This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen. Perfect as a gift for any aviation enthusiast and history buff!
