F-104 Starfighter 1/54
Scale: 1/54 | Wingspan: 4.6 inches | Length: 12 inches
Designed by Lockheed for the USAF, the F-104 Starfighter was a high-performance, single-engine, supersonic interceptor aircraft. The aircraft initially had some issues with its wing design, which earned it the unflattering moniker Widowmaker. Despite the flaws, the engineering marvel came on top as a definitive record-holder. The Starfighter aircraft was the first to perform sustained Mach 2 flight and reach 100,000 feet. With its astonishing speed and altitude records, its no wonder why the F104 Starfighter has become one of the most celebrated aircraft in the United States Air Force. Aside from being in service with the Air Forces of different nations from 1958 to 2004, the F-104 was also used by NASA as chase planes.
