AIM-7 was an umbrella term given to Sparrow missiles produced by Raytheon from the late 1950s to present. The AIM-7F/M was a US Air Force-operated homing missile, which was guided by semi-active radar and has an operational range of 50 kilometers. It was also the only operational version remaining among all AIM-7 missiles and was launched from various platforms including the F-14 Tomcat, F-4 Phantom II, and F-15 Eagle.
