The T-45C Goshawk is a jet trainer aircraft manufactured jointly by McDonnell Douglas and British Aerospace for the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. Production started in the 1980s and the T-45 jet was a modified version British Aerospace Hawk MK 60. US Navy and Marine required this trainer aircraft to have carrier capability and the result of modifications was the Goshawk T45. As a trainer aircraft, the cockpit of the T-45C Goshawk is a designed student-instructor tandem seat with no ammunition, except for a hard point to carry practice rocket pods and bombs. The T-45 jet is powered by a single turbofan engine.
